Pau D'Arco is a tree known as formic or canopy tree originating from the jungles of the Amazon River. Pau D'Arco is a source of phytochemicals such as beta-carotene, beta-sitosterol, a chemical called "lapachol" which stimulates the immune system and has strong antioxidant activity.
Pau D'Arco has been used successfully against bacterial and viral infections, cleanses the blood is useful against allergies, improves cardiovascular activity, helps with rheumatism, tumors and ulcers. Pau D'Arco is highly preventive agent against diabetes, herpes simplex, hypoglycemia, and difficulty in digestion of nutrients (increased protein synthesis), diseases of the liver and relieve symptoms of arthritis.
