What is in your medicine?

Avodart is in the form of soft gelatin capsules oblong, opaque, yellow, red lettering GX SE2 on one side.

Each soft capsule contains Avodart 0,5 mg of the active ingredient dutasteride (dutasteride) dissolved in a liquid. Solution in capsules also contain the following inactive ingredients: monoglycerides and diglycerides of caprylic / capric acid and butylated hydroxytoluene (E321).

The capsule shell contains gelatin, glycerol, titanium dioxide (E171), yellow iron oxide (E172), triglycerides, lecithin and red printing ink containing red iron oxide (E172) as a colourant, polyvinyl acetate phthalate, propylene glycol and macrogol (polyethylene glycol ).

What used Avodart?

Active ingredient dutasteride belongs to the group of medicines known as inhibitors of the enzyme 5-alpha reductase. Used to treat a condition known as benign prostatic hyperplasia.

BPH is not cancerous enlargement of the prostate gland, which is located at the bottom of the bladder surrounding the urethra. In men with BPH, the prostate gland is enlarged to a size at which presses on the urethra, which passes through it. If the urethra is pressed, it became narrower and normal urine flow is difficult, which may be accompanied by some or all of the following symptoms:

BEFORE YOU TAKE AVODART

Do not start taking Avodart, if:

During treatment with Avodart sperm you can have small amounts of the active ingredient of the drug. This may affect the normal development of the male fetus. Important information about some of the ingredients of Avodart capsules

These capsules contain glycerol, which in high doses can cause headache, stomach upset and diarrhea. Contain butylated hydroxytoluene, which may cause irritation of eyes, skin and mucous membranes if the capsule is damaged or break.

HOW TO TAKE AVODART?

Take your medicine as your doctor prescribes. If you are not sure how and how long to take Avodart, consult your doctor. The usual dosage is one capsule Avodart (0,5 mg) once daily with a meal or on an empty stomach. Swallow the capsules whole, do not chew. POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS

HOW TO KEEP AVODART?
