What is Silegria and what it is used for
Silegaria contains the active substance sildenafil, which belongs to a group of medicines called phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors. The action of Silegria is to help expand the blood vessels of the penis, which facilitates blood circulation in sexual arousal.
Silegria will only help you get an erection if you are sexually stimulated. You should not use Silegia unless you have erectile dysfunction. You should not take Silegia if you are a woman.
Silegria is a medicine for elderly men with erectile dysfunction, also called impotence. This means that a man can not gain or retain a stable penis erection necessary for sexual act.

2. What you need to know before taking Silegria
Do not take Silegia:
If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to sildenafil or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6);
If you are taking medicines called nitrates because this combination may cause a potentially dangerous lowering of your blood pressure. Tell your doctor if you are taking any of these medicines, which are often prescribed to relieve angina (chest pain). If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist;
If you are using any of the medicines known as nitric oxide donors, such as amyl nitrite (poppers), as this combination may also lead to a potentially dangerous lowering of your blood pressure;
If you have a severe heart or liver problem;
If you have recently had a stroke or heart attack, or if you have low blood pressure;
If you have any rare inherited eye disease (such as pigment retinitis);
If you have ever had loss of vision due to non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION).
If you think any of the above applies to you (or you suspect), please tell your doctor.

Warnings and precautions:
Talk to your doctor, pharmacist or nurse before taking Silegria:
If you have sickle-cell anemia (red blood cell anomaly), leukemia (blood cell cancer), multiple myeloma (bone marrow cancer);
If you have deformity of the penis or Peyroni's disease;
If you have heart problems. In this case, your doctor should check carefully whether your heart can undergo extra exercise, such as having sex;
If you currently have a stomach ulcer or problems with blood clotting (such as haemophilia).
If you experience sudden decrease or loss of vision, stop taking Silegria and tell your doctor immediately.
If you think any of the above applies to you (or you suspect), do not take Silegaria and consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking any dose of Silegria.
Silegria should not be taken concomitantly with other oral or topical treatments for erectile dysfunction.
You should not take Silegia unless you have erectile dysfunction.
You should not take Silegia if you are a woman.

Children and adolescents
Silegria should not be used in people under 18 years of age.

Special warnings for patients with kidney or liver problems
Tell your doctor if you have kidney or liver problems. Your doctor may decide to prescribe a lower dose of Silegria.

Other Drugs and Silegaria
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines.
Silegria tablets can interact with some medicines, especially those used to treat chest pain. In case of emergency, you should tell your doctor, pharmacist or nurse that you have taken and when you have accepted Silegria. Do not take Silegaria with other medicines unless your doctor has told you this.

You should not take Silegia at the same time as medicines called nitrates as their combination may cause a potentially dangerous lowering of your blood pressure. Always tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking any of these medicines that are commonly prescribed for angina (chest pain).
Do not take Silegaria if you are using any of the medicines known as nitric oxide donors such as amylnitrite (poppers), as the combination may lead to a potentially dangerous lowering of your blood pressure.
If you are taking medicines known as protease inhibitors such as used to treat AIDS, your doctor will probably prescribe the lowest dose of 25 mg of Silegia.
Some patients who are on alpha-blocker therapy to treat high blood pressure or prostate enlargement may experience dizziness or dizziness, which may be caused by lowering of blood pressure when sitting or standing up quickly. Some patients have reported these symptoms when taking Silegria with alpha-blockers. This is most likely to occur during the first 4 hours after taking Silegia. You should have a regular daily dose of alpha blocker before taking Silegia to reduce the likelihood of these symptoms. Your doctor may prescribe a lower starting dose of 25 mg of Silegia.

Silegria with food, drinks and alcohol
Silegria can be taken with or without food. However, you may notice that Silegria is slower if taken with a heavy meal.
Taking alcohol can temporarily disrupt your ability to achieve an erection. To get the most out of your medicine, we advise you not to take too much alcohol before taking Silegia.

Pregnancy, breastfeeding and fertility
Silegria is not indicated for use in women.

Driving and using machines
Silegria may cause dizziness and affect vision. You should know your individual reaction to Silegria before you decide to drive or operate machines.

3. How to take Silegia
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are unsure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
The recommended dose is 50 mg.
Do not take Silegria more than once a day.
Silegria should be taken about 1 hour before your sexual intercourse is scheduled. Drink the tablet whole with a glass of water.
If you have a feeling that the effect of Silegia is too strong or too weak, tell your doctor or pharmacist.
Silegria will only help you get an erection in sexual stimulation. The time at which the effect of Silegrias occurs is individual, but is usually between half an hour and one hour. If you take Silegria during a meal, the effect may be slower.
If Silegria does not help you get an erection, or if your erection does not last long enough to have sexual intercourse, tell your doctor.
