Drug: Diosmin 600 mg

CLINICAL DATA:
THERAPEUTIC INDICATIONS:
- Treatment of symptoms related to venous-lymphatic insufficiency / weight in the legs, pain, initial dybocytosis /
- Treatment of functional symptoms associated with acute hemorrhoidal crises.
- Auxiliary Treatment of Capillary Fragility.

DOSAGE AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION:
Oral use only in adults.
- for venous insufficiency: 1 tablet daily in the morning before breakfast
- for aggravated hemorrhoids: 2-3 tablets daily, during meals.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of the product.

SPECIAL WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
In severe hemorrhoids: administration of this medicinal product does not inhibit the specific treatment of other anal illnesses. Treatment should be short-lived - no more than 15 days. If the symptoms of exacerbated hemorrhoids are not rapidly eliminated or the condition worsens, a protocological assessment should be performed and the treatment reviewed.

PREGNANCY AND BREAST:
Pregnancy: Animal studies have shown no teratogenic effects; no adverse effects have been observed in humans.
Lactation: Due to lack of data on the passage of diosmin in breast milk, the use of Flebodia tablets during breast-feeding is not recommended.

UNDESIRABLE MEDICINAL REACTIONS:
Hypersensitivity.
Accidental manifestations of gastrointestinal disorder rarely require discontinuation of treatment.

PHARMACOKINETICS
Using 14-carbon-labeled diamines, animals were observed:
- Rapid absorption 2 hours after Flabbio administration through the mouth, peak concentration is reached at 5 hours.
- Limited distribution of diosmin with the exception of kidney, liver, lung, especially vein, and saphenous veins where levels of radioactivity are always higher than in other tissues.
This selective binding of diosmin and / or its metabolites is increased to 9 hours and continues to 96 hours.
- diosmin is emitted mainly via urine, faeces and bile after an enterohepatic cycle.
These results indicate that, after oral administration, diamine is well absorbed.
