WHAT IS MUCOSOFT AND WHAT IT IS USED
MUCOSOFT is a medicinal product that is used for liquefaction and facilitates the excretion of tough bronchial secretions in acute and chronic diseases of the bronchi and lungs, such as: tracheobronchitis, bronchitis, pneumonia, cystic fibrosis.

2. BEFORE YOU RECEIVE MUCOSOFT
The product should not be used in case of hypersensitivity to the active ingredient acetylcysteine ​​or to any of the excipients;
Active stomach ulcer and duodenum;
Asthma.

SPECIAL WARNINGS
Patients suffering from bronchial asthma should be closely monitored during therapy: if bronchospasm occurs, treatment should be discontinued immediately.
The medicine should be taken with care from elderly patients with respiratory failure.
If a large amount of fluids are liquefied, especially in young children and in immobilized patients, it is likely that the secretions will be sucked.
Acetylcysteine ​​should not be taken by patients with impaired excretion unless aspirations are treated during their treatment.
It should not be used in children under the age of 14 due to the high content of the active substance.

Taking other medicines

There are no data on foods and beverages to be avoided.

Fever, pregnancy and lactation

3. HOW TO ACCEPT MUCOSOFT
The usual dose is:
Adults and children over 14 years:
1 sachet once a day (corresponding to 600 mg Acetylcysteine).
Due to its high content of active substance, Muccosoft should not be used in children less than 14 years of age. For this purpose, there are suitable medicinal products with a lower active substance content.

Mode of application
Oral use.
The contents of the sachet dissolve in a glass of hot water and then drink warmly after a meal.
When fluid is ingested, the secretory effect of the drug is enhanced.
The duration of treatment depends on the severity of the disease and is determined individually (in acute conditions - from 5 to 10 days, in chronic conditions - 1-2 months). It should not be used for more than 5 days without consulting a doctor.

If you take more MUCOSOFT than you should
No cases of severe signs or symptoms of overdose of oral overdose of acetylcysteine ​​have been reported, even with high doses.

Symptoms of overdose

Overdose treatment

4. POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
