KLION D 100 mg. 10 vaginal tablets

WHAT KLION  IS AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR
KLION-D is effective for vaginal infections caused by protozoa / unicellular organisms / and / or fungi. Metronidazole is effective in trichomonasis and miconazole nitrate is effective in vaginal yeast infections.
The treatment of these infections is important in order to avoid the spread of inflammation to the female genitalia, e.g. ovarian tubes, ovaries and uterus.

BEFORE USING KLION-D
Do not use KLION-D
- if you are allergic to metronidazole or miconazole nitrate or any of the other ingredients of Cleon-E
- if you are pregnant in the first trimester of pregnancy.

Take special care with KLION-D
- Sexual contact should be avoided during treatment
- For intravascular use only

Taking other medicines
Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.

Taking KLION-D with food and drink
Cleansing of alcoholic beverages is prohibited during KLION-D therapy.

Driving and using machines
KLION -D does not affect the ability to drive and use machines.
Patients taking oral metronidazole should be advised of the possibility of dizziness, impaired coordination, mental health or seizures, and also advised not to drive or operate machinery when these symptoms occur.

HOW TO USE CLEAN-D
Vaginal KLION -D tablets should be given as directed by your doctor and for a period of time prescribed by your doctor. Unless otherwise prescribed, a Cleon-D vaginal tablet, previously gently moistened with some water, should be placed deeply into the vagina once daily for 10 days.
If necessary, your doctor should advise on the recommendation of your doctor to supplement oral administration of metronidazole tablets.
To ensure successful treatment, the sexual partner should also be treated with oral metronidazole tablets.
If the treatment is not effective, please consult your doctor.
If therapy exceeds 10 days, careful clinical and laboratory monitoring should be performed.

POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Metronidazole:
When co-administered with metronidazole oral tablets, the following side effects may occur:
Blood disorders:
Very rare: Reducing the number of red blood cells, reducing the number of platelets in the blood.

Immune system disorders:
Rare - a state of shock caused by an allergic reaction.
Not known - swelling of the neck, face and extremities, red itchy spots

Metabolism disorders:
Not known - loss of appetite.
Psychiatric disorders:
Very rare - changes in the mental state

Nervous system disorders:
Very rare
- degenerative brain disease, changes in mental status, fever, headache, paralysis, light sensitivity, visual and movement disorders, limited neck movements. Distorted Muscular Coordination; gait disturbances; involuntary, rapid, rhythmic movements of the eyeball and involuntary shaking or twitching, which may disappear upon discontinuation of the drug.
- Condition of poor concentration, dizziness, severe involuntary muscle contraction, headache
Not known: stiffness similar to epileptic seizures has been reported with intensive and / or long-term therapy with metronidazole.

Eye disorders:
Very rare - perception of a double image from one object

Gastrointestinal disorders:
Not known - taste disturbance, flat tongue, nausea, vomiting

Hepatic impairment:
Very rare: abnormal liver function tests, inflammation of the liver, yellowing of the skin.

Skin disorders:
Very rare - skin rashes, itching
Not known - erythema multiforme
Miconazole nitrate:
Side effects are rare and mild. Sometimes irritation is reported. Local sensitization may occasionally occur, requiring cessation of treatment. Local irritation, itching and burning sensation have been reported most commonly at the beginning of treatment.
