WHAT IS ELCOM AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR?
Elocom dermal solution is a drug of the local corticosteroid family and is considered to be a "potent corticosteroid." These drugs have anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic and anti-aging properties.
Elocom dermal solution is used in adults and children to reduce redness and pruritus caused by certain skin conditions affecting the hairy area of the scalp, such as psoriasis and seborrhoeic dermatitis.

Therefore, there may be, albeit a very low risk of such effects, and the human fetus.
It is not known whether local administration of corticosteroids can lead to adequate absorption and detection in breast milk.
Your doctor will decide whether you can use Ellcom during pregnancy or while you are breast-feeding.

If you forget to use Elocom
If you forget to use Ellcom, do it as soon as possible and then go back to the normal application schedule.
4. POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Like all medicines, Elocom dermal solution can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.
Overall, Ellcom treatment is well tolerated.
Occasionally: irritation, itching, burning, pricking, tingling, inflammation of the hair follicles, increased hair, acne, discoloration or thinning of the skin, stretch marks, milii, secondary infections and contact allergies.
As with all corticosteroids, the use of Elucoma dermal solution on a large surface of the scalp in a larger amount and over an extended period of time may lead to increased absorption through the skin in amounts causing general (systemic) side effects. These may include swelling of the face, neck and torso, weight gain, and children's growth and developmental impact. In such cases, you should consult your doctor. Children are more susceptible than adults to such reactions because of the higher skin / body weight ratio.
If any of the side effects get worried or you notice other side effects not listed in this leaflet, please tell your doctor or pharmacist.
