CO - IRBESAN 300 mg. / 12.5 mg. 28 tablets

What is Co-IRBESAN 300 mg / 12,5 mg tablets is and what it is used
CO-IRBESAN is a combination of two active substances - irbesartan and hydrochlorothiazide. Each tablet KO-IRBESAN 300 mg / 12,5 mg contains 300 mg of irbesartan and hydrochlorothiazide 12,5 mg.
Irbesartan belongs to the group of drugs known as antagonists of angiotensin -II receptors.
Angiotensin-II is formed in the body and bind to the receptors in the blood vessels, causing them to tighten. This leads to an increase in blood pressure. Irbesartan prevents the binding of angiotensin-II to these receptors, causing the blood vessels and lowers blood pressure.
Hydrochlorothiazide causes increased urine output and thus lowers blood pressure.
